Description
Time-and Spatial-resolved measurements of all plasma emission produced by pulsed Nd: YAG laser ablation of metal Cu in different backing gas are reported. The effects of different backing gas pressure over the range of 13 Pa to 101.3 kPa on all plasma emission intensity are studied. The results are qualitatively explained using a simple model based on plasma emission arising from electron collision energy transfer and recombination of the electron and ion in the plasma
