Analogue (Δ E,E) CAMAC system for identification of charged reaction products
Description
The charge particle identification system (Δ E,E) based on the analogue realization of the identification function given by the formula: Δ E (Esub(T) + k0 + k1 Δ E) has been designed and constructed. A short review of experimental methods and identification functions commonly used nowadays is given. The test experiments of the identification system on the beam of 25.5 MeV alpha particles accelerated in the 120 cm cyclotron of Institute of Nuclear Physics in Cracow have been performed. The experimentally obtained mass spectra of p, d, t and alpha particles ensure an almost complete particle separation. The energy spectra measured for these particles confirm a satisfactory operation of the constructed identification system. (author)
