Description

A comparison of the mechanism of stabilization of unstable states of physical systems in a rapidly oscillating external field (on example the Kapitsa pendulum) with a whirligig type stabilization mechanism is presented in this work. It is shown that the whirligig mechanism is more efficient than the stabilization in rapidly changing fields for stabilizing unstable states if or when it can be actually used.
