Synthesis of chloride of 2-(dimethylaminophenyl)-3,6-dimethyl benzo [2-14C]-thiazolium or thioflavine T
Description
14C-Thioflavine T hydrochloride, labelled at the 2-position of the thiazole ring, is synthesized from 4-dimethylamino [14CO2H ]benzoic acid, obtained from Ba 14CO3. The radiochemical yield is 76%. (author)
