Description

The linear electron accelerator LAE 13/9 had been installed in Departament of Radiation Chemistry and Technology, Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Engineering in 1972. It has been in constant use since than. Technical and running parameters of LAE 13/9 allow to apply this machine both for research within radiation chemistry and for the radiation processing at the semi-technical scale. LAE 13/9 is a linear waveguide accelerator in which electrons are accelerated in the field a traveling electromagnetic wave. This wave propagating itself within two sections diaphragmatic waveguide powered by a single klystron
