WIMS-SH-2.0 complex of codes: Complementary capability
Description
For advanced methods of the reactor calculation the multigroup calculations with neutron current entering the cell are required in addition to the conventional multigroup cell calculations for determination of K∞. Codes using the surface pseudosoures method (SPSM) are best suitable for such multigroup cell calculations. To calculate the few group matrix of absorption and fission Σaf of the surface harmonics method (SHM), the RATIA code is used for a cylindrical cell, the KLARA code is used for a cluster cell. To calculate the few group diffusion coefficients of SHM in a cylindrical cell, the RADIK code is used. After mergering the RATIA, KLARA, RADIK WIMS-D4 codes the WIMS-SU complex was created on the basis of the latter. This complex possess by two new options: RATIA-RADIK and KLARA and enable automatically to calculate the libraries of few group cell characteristics for SHM. The WIMS-SH-2.0 complex solves the multigroup direct and adjoint transport equations by SPSM in the cylindrical and cluster (type of RBMK, of CANDU and etc.) cells of the nuclear reactors, to calculate K∞ of cells and to solve the problems with the volume neutron sources and with the incoming/outgoing current distributions. This complex prepares the few cell characteristics for traditional homogenius methods and for an advanced reactor calculation by SHM. The complementary capability of WIMS-SU complex, called WIMS-SH-2.0 complex, at present are described here: the adjoint multigroup function are calculated into the cylindrical and cluster cells by SPSM; the new boundary conditions: 'isotropic sink' and 'combined sink' are introduced, to calculate cylindrical cells by SPSM; the mesh-size correction appearing in SHM is calculated in two group diffusion approximation
