Description

Processes of purposeful destruction of cellulose, induced by electron-beam nonequilibrium plasma, to produce low-molecular water-soluble oligosaccharides have been studied. Experimental facility permitted varying electron energy in the range of 40-100 keV, while beam current - in the range of 5-300 mA. By the methods of 13C NMR and IR-spectroscopy it has been ascertained that the treatment mentioned permits preparation of water-soluble products, including oligomers, moreover, their molecular masses may be regulated by the relevant presetting of the process parameters. 5 refs.; 4 figs.; 4 tabs
