Method for determining efficiency in a liquid scintillation system

Description

This invention relates to a method of compensating for color quenching in a liquid scintillation system by using a liquid scintillation radiation detecting and coincident counting apparatus having photomultiplying means and pulse height analysis means. Scintillations caused by radioactive events are detected. Coincident pulses are generated in a pair of photomultiplier means responsive to the scintillations and the smaller of the two coincident pulses are selected. The smaller pulse is transmitted to the pulse height analysis means as an input signal thereto. (Patent Office Record)
