Quantification of plasma induced defects in first wall materials
- 1. Kernforschungsanlage Juelich G.m.b.H. (Germany, F.R.). Inst. fuer Reaktorwerkstoffe
Description
Plasma Wall interaction in Tokamaks can stress the first wall materials up to the total failure of a first wall component. In order to determine the life-limiting loads for the various first wall materials systematic tests are carried out. For the simulation of thermal shock and thermal fatigue loading an electron beam facility is used. After the electron beam tests, the material samples are investigated. (author)
