Technique of calculation of the radiation situation around a container with a spent fuel

Description
Paper deals with study of radiation characteristics of irradiated nuclear fuel (INF) when it is stored and carried in shipping containers. The calculation of INF characteristics based on the combined use of the SCALE complex and the MCNP program is the peculiar feature of the paper. In this case, the SCALE complex is used to calculate a radiation source, while the MCNP program - to calculate radiation transport

Представлено рассмотрение радиационных характеристик облученного ядерного топлива (ОЯТ) на этапе его хранения и транспортировки в транспортных контейнерах. Особенностью работы является расчет характеристик ОЯТ путем совместного использования комплекса SCALE и программы MCNP.
