Power loss and radiated field from microwave microstrip floating lines in resonance
- 1. Aristotle Univ. of Thessaloniki, Dept. of Physics, Radio Communications Lab., Thessaloniki (Greece)
Description
Undesirable radiation from microstrip floating lines and discontinuities in printed circuit boards' circuits when they are under resonance is one of the serious problems that may affect the operation of the circuit and interfere with the operation of adjacent circuits as well. In the present work, an effort is made to calculate the power loss and the radiated field of a signal transmitted into various microstrip structures when it meets discontinuities and floating lines in resonance. The full-wave technique is used for the analysis and the results obtained give useful information about the values of the structure parameters for which the level of power loss becomes less. (author)
