Description

I-tese, the Institute of technico-economy of energy systems of the French atomic energy and alternate energies commission (CEA), carries out technical-economical studies and multi-criteria and prospective analyses of energy technologies or systems from the primary sources to the end-use. The quarterly I-tese newsletters present some news elements allowing to better understand the stakes of the new energy supply challenges under its different aspects: economy, energy independence, environment and Earth preservation. This issue treats of the following topics: Presentation: towards what European and World governance are we heading to for the fight against climate change?: vote of the French energy-climate package: a European impulse that is going to count for, UNO and climate change: trials and errors in the winter mists of Poznan; Special issue: what cost and what price for electricity?: Is nuclear power still the less expensive in France?, Why French industrialists in majority still purchase their electricity under a regulated pricing system; News in brief: China's coal industry situation in few key figures, what market share for the light electric-powered vehicles?; Markets trend: comments on uranium and enrichment prices, fossil fuels price curves.
