Description
δD and δ18O variations as well as hydrogen contents of serpentinites, chrysotile asbestos, garnet pyroxenites and garnetite were investigated. The garnet serpentinites (mean δD = -1050/00) and also the garnet pyroxenites and garnetite (mean δD = -420/00) have rather uniform δD values. The δD and δ18O values of garnet serpentinites and crysotile asbestos give hints that these rocks were formed by interaction with magmatic water but at different temperatures. The formation conditions of the garnet serpentinites from the Saxonian Granulite Massif and from the Saxonian Ore Mts. have obviously been analogous. (author)
