Numerical analysis of boiling coolant stability in parallel heated channels

Description

Investigation into the boiling coolant flow stability in the system of parallely connected heated channels is performed on the base of numeric integration of non-stationary equations of two-phase flow preservation. The mechanism of instability development after the introduction of initial perturbation to the system is studied. Boundaries of stable flow are determined using the numeric simulation of the process, which agree satisfactorily with the ones obtained by experiment. A method for instability suppression in the parallel channel system is proposed
