Calculation of radioactive contamination of primary circuit equipment at NPPs with the WWER reactors

Description
A physical-chemical model for radioactivity generation and mass transfer in the primary coolant circuit of a NPP with the WWER type reactor is suggested. The method for calculation of radioactive contamination of the primary circuit surfaces based on this model is realized in the FORTRAN APKVVEhR complex program.The conclusion based on comparison of calculational and experimental data obtained at the Bruno Leuschner NPP is made that the model suggested describes quite accurately the mass transfer of stable and radioactive corrosion products in various parts of the circuit with variable concentrations of reagents used for water chemistry correction
