The BOR-60 sodium boiling experiment
- 1. Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Inst. Atomnykh Reaktorov, Dimitrovgrad (USSR)
- 2. Zentralinstitut fuer Kernforschung, Rossendorf bei Dresden (German Democratic Republic)
Description
Sodium boiling was generated in the BOR-60 core by γ-heating of tungsten rod bundles in two different test rigs. The boiling noise was measured by means of an ionization chamber and several acoustic transducers. The results of noise analysis of the background and the boiling noise are presented and discussed from the point of view of reactor surveillance. (author)
