Description
The electron spectrum in crystallic vanadium is calculated for the scheme of model potential. The calculated density of states is compared with the X-ray emission spectrum, X-ray photoelectron and optical photoelectron spectra. The results on optical interband absorption is interpreted using the optical density of states. Some cross sections of the Fermi surface are studied in detail. The extremum cross sections of the Fermi surface are compared with the ones obtained by using the de Haas-van Alphen effect and magnetothermal oscillations. The cyclotron masses are calculated, and from their comparison the electron-photon ''weightin'' for a number of extremum orbits is found. The problem of the model choice is discussed
