First-flight escape probabilities for infinite cylinders having a quadratic source distribution

  • 1. Wisconsin Univ., Madison, WI (United States). Dept. of Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics

Description

In this brief note a cylindrical geometry first-flight current kernel is presented which simplifies the calculation of first-flight neutron escape probabilities for solid infinite cylinders. As demonstrated below with specific examples, the kernel can be used to generate analytical solutions for arbitrary source distributions. (Author)
