Eco information 5. Influence of operation of the plants Jadrova vyradovacia spolocnost, a.s., on the environment, Locality of Mochovce, within May 2015

In this leaflet the results of monitoring of radioactive gaseous and liquid effluents into the Hron River as well as of radiation monitoring of Mochovce Liquid RAW Final Treatment Facility (FS KRAO) and Mochovce Radioactive Waste Repository (RU RAO) are presented. The radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within May 2015 for the radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within for FS KRAO were: 0.000 GBq of tritium (1.050 GBq for the period January - May 2015 (0.35% of AL)) and summary of gamma-radionuclides 0.000 GBq (0.746 GBq for the period January - May 2015 (19.13% of AL)). The radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within January - May 2015 for FS KRAO were: 116 kBq of ⁹⁰Sr (116 kBq for the period January - March 2015), 0.003 kBq of summary alpha (0.003 kBq of annually value) and 1452 kBq of ¹⁴C for the period January - March 2015 (1452 kBq of annually value). The radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within May 2015 for RU RAO were: 1.136 MBq of tritium (3.408 MBq for the period January - May 2015 (0.018% of AL)); 0.024 MBq of ¹³⁷Cs in May 2015 (0.040 MBq for the period January - May 2015 (0.175% of AL)); 0.112 MBq of ⁹⁰Sr - the value within January - March 2015 (0.112 MBq for the period January - March 2015 (0.046% of AL)); 0.036 MBq of ⁶⁰Co in May 2015 (0.045 MBq for the period January - May 2015 (0.201% of AL)); 0.005 MBq of ²³⁹Pu (0.005 MBq for the period January - March 2015 (0.893% of AL)). Volume of liquid effluents in May 2015 was 454 m³ (1362 m³ for the period January - May 2015). The radioactive effluents into atmosphere within May 2015 for FS KRAO were: 0.0008 MBq of gamma radionuclides (0.0039 MBq for the period January - May 2015, that is 0.0049% of annually limit (AL)); 0.023 kBq of alpha radionuclides within January - March 2015 (0.162 kBq for the period January - March 2015 (0.023% of AL)), and 0.162 kBq of ⁸⁹Sr and ⁹⁰Sr - the value within January - March 2015 (0.162 kBq for the period January - March 2015 (0.0081% of AL)).
