Scientific grounds of the radiation monitoring system perfection
Description
Using methods of mathematical statistics calculation of the distribution of function of expectancy of Cs 137 and Sr 90 content in the main food products (milk, potatoes, forest provision) was conducted. Individual annual summary effective dose in settlements of Gomel' region were estimated. Suggested arrangements of radiation monitoring in settlements were determined. Necessary annual effort to conduct complex radiation monitoring is estimated into 20000 whole body counts, 4500 milk tests and 330 milk and potato tests to determine Cs 137 and Sr 90 content accordingly. 185 settlements are objects of different kinds of radiation monitoring and special measurements.
