Description
The energy reponse in the effective solid angles and the spatial distribution of the detection efficiency for the four frequently used 8Be detection systems are obtained by two methods: Monte Carlo simulation and integration of the distribution function. The agreement of the results by the two methods is good. The results are tested by some measurements with different geometry and compared with the published data
