Invar
Description
The invar alloy of the composition, mass.%: Ni-(28-31), C-(0.4-1.5), Fe-remainder is suggested. It is meant for using in cryogenics characterized by lowered and stable temperature linear expansion coefficient in the 100-335 K range. Carbon addition allows one to obtain magnetic structure and thermal properties identical to those of the N36 alloy with lower content of expensive nickel
