Present status and perspectives at LNS

Description

The Laboratorio Nazionale del Sud of Catania is equipped with an upgraded 15 MV SMP tandem that is going to be coupled to a k=800 superconducting cyclotron. The status of the main facilities of the laboratory is presented. A project for the use of two accelerators, for the production of intense secondary beams, is also presented and discussed. (orig.)
