Recent experiments with polarized few-nucleon systems
Creators
Description
Several experiments using polarized deuterium and polarized 3He at Mainz, NIKHEF, Novosibirsk, Bates and IUCF were recently completed or are currently underway. The data from these experiments provide insight into the two-and three-body systems, complementing ongoing theoretical work by several groups on rigorous calculations of the spin-dependent properties of the few-nucleon systems. Here, the experiments are described and their data, including information about the electromagnetic form factors of the neutron obtained from polarized 3He, are presented
