Spectral analysis of the multigroup transport operator

Description
A spectral analysis is given of the linear operator for multigroup neutron transport in a one-dimensional homogeneous plane slab. Azimuthal symmetry and isotropic scattering are assumed. The spectrum consists of a continuous and a discrete part; the multiplicity is nonuniform throughout the spectrum. Particular emphasis is placed on the construction and representation of a diagonalizing transformation
