Thermal power calculation device for nuclear reactors

Description

Purpose: To realize accurate thermal power calculation by the combination of neutron flux signals corresponding to each of the positions in the reactor core. Constitution: Signals from a plurality of fixed neutron detectors disposed at specific positions in the reactor core are adapted to a neutron-flux-signal-pattern-forming device. The pattern forming device prepares the combination of neutron-flux signals corresponding to each of the positions in the reactor core, based on the maximum neutron-flux signals from among the fixed neutron detectors, by utilizing the symmetrical property of the control rod pattern as much as possible. In this way, an accurate thermal power calculation can be obtained even in the case where a part of the fixed neutron detectors is deviated from the center of the detection position. (Seki, T.)
