On the decay of a quasi-stationary state through a two-bump barrier

Description
Decay through a two-bump barrier is considered for a quasistationary state localized in the inner well. An analytical expression is obtained for the continuum wave functions. Positions and widths of the quasistationary states are calculated for the resonance case at small penetrabilities of the individual barriers. It is shown that the maximal decay width occurs not in the case of a symmetrical two-bump barrier, but in the situation when the outer barrier is more penetrable that the inner one
