Description
Tritium production reactions are important for the safe service of a nuclear power plant. The isotope 10B is widely used in practice both for leveling the power of a nuclear reactor and for building the shielding for thermal neutrons. The 10B(n, αt)4He reaction is the main reaction that results in tritium recovery. The method developed to the IPPE, using gaseous target, allows one to absorb energy of all charged reaction products and select useful events for background.
