Description

The perforated plate influence in a Blowdown simulation with the thermohydraulic code ATHLET was investigated. It was demonstrated that the present model can not make a good description of the movement of mixture level with some obstacle in vertical flow channels. To adjust the mixture level curve was used different nodalization types and drift models, but the theoretical results was not changed. Only with the artificial modification of the relative velocity between the phases the theoretical results agree with the experimental data. (author)
