'Modal splits' for the Swiss energy supply to the year 2000
Description
The authors investigate the energy supply scenarios (modal splits) for Switzerland using a linear system optimisation model (MARKAL) under various assumptions of economic growth and of energy price development. For each scenario the authors give the optimal cost structure of the energy supply systems, under the assumption of a development free of influences up to the year 2000. It is important to note that the authors discuss developments not prognoses. (A.N.K.)
