Experiments on strong slowing-down of monoenergetic electron beam
Description
The bed for investigating strong slowing-down of intense electron beam in electron gun 60 mm high-voltage interval under conditions of cathode and collector shielding from the magnetic field is described. The beam microperveance in the transport channel is 0.7 μA/V3/2. Results of experiments manifesting that with voltage losses being 13%, the current losses are 1,3%, are presented. The obtained results may be used when designing regenerators for electron beams with perveance ∼ 0.7 μA/V2/3 and electron energy upto 250 keV
