Measurements and analysis of LET distributions at HIMAC BIO. Development of the LET distributions database

  • 1. Nuclear Physics Inst., ASCR, Prague (Czech Republic)

Description

The goal of the project is developing of linear energy transfer (LET) distributions database for various beams, energies and configurations at Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator in Chiba (HIMAC)-BIO. The data are acquired with various detectors, including track etched detectors (TED), thermoluminescent detectors (TLD), spectrometer of energy deposition in silicon Liulin, and tissue-equivalent proportional counter (TEPC) Hawk. The project including twelve runs started in FY 2008 and finished in FY 2010. (author)
