Quasars as events in the nuclei of galaxies: the evidence from direct photographs
Creators
Description
Similarities between quasars and the nuclei of N galaxies and Seyfert galaxies suggest that quasars may also occur in galaxy nuclei. 200-inch direct photographs of quasars are consistent with this hypothesis. Those quasars which are predicted to show underlying galaxies do so, and those which are predicted not to show underlying galaxies do not. Subject headings: galaxies - galactic nuclei quasi-stellar sources or objects
