Sigma cameras - modern gamma cameras with microprocessors
Description
The general development of the Anger camera since 1960 is reviewed. The improved measuring technology has resulted in improvements in the size of the field of measuremend, resolution, counting rate, and homogeneity. The cameras of the SIGMA series are used as an example to illustrate the basic concept of a modern gamma camera and the step towards a novel solution to the homogeneity problems by means of a microprocessor. The SIGMA cameras are a family of three models with auxiliary equipment for documentation and processing. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
(orig.)Additional details
