INIS/SDI service: bibliographical data base in the field of nuclear science and technology and its use for SDI service

MISTRAL is a software package for creation and updating of bibliographic information and retrieval from the created files. The version 2 of MISTRAL operates on batch mode on IRIS-80 computer. It is used for providing regular SDI service to some 300 users of the Department of Atomic Energy. The data base is the INIS Atomindex output tapes received from the INIS headquarters in Vienna. Each tape contains on an average some 8000 citations including abstracts. The INIS/SDI and retrospective search services are described and the salient features of MISTRAL are discussed. (author)
