The experimental study of photomultiplier with a high-voltage pulse switch in the strong X ray radiation field
- 1. Siuthwest Inst. of Nuclear Physics and Chemistry, Chengdu, SC (China)
Description
A photomultiplier with a high-voltage pulse switch was tested and studied at the LF-12 facility. The experimental results show that the restoring time of the photomultiplier increases with its saturation level. When an XP2040 type multiplier with a 2μs pulse switch is coupled to a liquid scintillator, the liquid scintillation detector can be used for the diagnosis of low-yield neutrons in the strong X ray radiation field
