Experience of cesium isotopes decontamination from fast reactors coolant

Description
Conditions for selecting design of graphite trap for cesium are considered. The cesium trap scheme used at the BN-350 and BN-600 reactors is presented. Results of sodium coolant decontamination of cesium in the primary coolant circuits of the BN-350 and BN-600 reactors are described. Application of cesium traps, containing 10 kg graphite, makes it possible to decrease by 1.4-1.9 times the specific activity of cesium isotopes in 500 and 800t of the coolant during 100 hours. Application of graphite traps for cesium improved radiation conditions in the primary coolant circuit compartments
