Total synthesis of [7-14C]-(+-)-colchicine

Description
The synthesis of (±)-colchicine labelled with carbon-14 at the 7-position of the B ring was achieved by a sixteen step sequence with an overall radiochemical yield of 2.5% from [Ba14CO3] (Specific activity: 55 mCi-mmol-1). (author)
