Radioanalytical determinations using two radionuclides
Description
A critical review is given of radioanalytical studies using two different radionuclides. The classification of these radioanalytic methods is presented, as well as their characteristics, advantages and disadvantages, and also practical experiences with the elimination of the sources of possible errors. Published methods of calculation of the amount of the determined substances are summarized and the principles of the methods of measuring mixtures of two radionuclides are described. Some factors affecting the accuracy and correctness of the results are discussed and a review of the literature is given on the use of computers for the calculation of the quantity of substances. The determination of some organic and inorganic substances is tabulated, together with data on the substance determined, the origin of sample, the type of both radionuclides, the conditions of determination, sensitivity, and accuracy.
