Rack and pinion mechanism for moving a neutron absorbing assembly in a nuclear reactor
Description
The purpose of this invention is therefore to suggest a rack and pinion mechanism for moving a neutron absorbing assembly, vertically mobile in a nuclear reactor for power control and emergency shutdown of the reactor. This mechanism must allow accurate movements of the control rods with halting of these rods at well defined positions and a drop of these rods for emergency shutdown fo the reactor controlled by a simple device for preventing the pinion and the rack from disengaging

Le but de l'invention est donc de proposer un mecanisme a pignon et cremaillere pour le deplacement d'un ensemble absorbant les neutrons, mobile verticalement dans un reacteur nucleaire pour la commande de puissance et l'arret d'urgence du reacteur.
