Study on mechanisms of production of the anti ppπ+π- final state in anti pp interactions at 32 GeV/c

Description

Analysis has been performed of mechanisms producing the exclusive anti ppπ+π- final state in the anti pp-collision experiment at the incident momentum of 32 GeV/c. The data were obtained by means of the Mirabelle bubble chamber. It is shown that the dominating contribution is due to quasi-two-particle processes of the single-vertex dffraction dissociation p(anti p) → p(anti p)π+π- and to the pair production of the isobars Δ++ anti Δ++. It is shown that the main characteristics of the Δ++ anti DE++-pair production are in good agreement with predictions of the absorptive OPE model. The cross sections of productions of Δ+ anti H+(Δ++), Δ0( anti Δ0) and rho0 meson are measured in the events belonging to different sectors of the LPS diagram, and it is established that the main source of their production is the decay of the diffractively excited protons (antiprotons)
