Equilibrium states of an electron beam in a magnetic field

Description
The authors consider here an electron beam injected from a cathode and accelerated across a potential difference in a magnetic field, They examine equilibrium states at large distances from the point of injection or for an adiabatically slow variation of the magnetic field along the length of the beam. Both the relativistic and nonrelativistic cases are considered
