Description
The latest revision of the IAEA's Regulations for the Safe Transport of Radioactive Material was published in 1996. The major changes incorporated in this revision are briefly reviewed in this article. They refer to the air transport of radioactive material, low dispersible radioactive material, provisions for the safe transport of uranium hexafluoride and incorporation of the exemption values from the International Basic Safety Standards for Protection Against Ionizing Radiation and for the Safety of Radiation Sources (BSS)
