Tabulated and plotted figures for cumulative and annual load factors are used to demonstrate claimed superiority of Candu PHWR reactors to other types. The advantage is based on design factors, of which on-power refuelling is the chief, but greater safety resulting from the use of pressure tubes also results in an economic advantage
