The sorption characteristics of radionuclides on copper hexacyanoferrate(II), and the determination of 137Cs in sea water
- 1. National Inst. of Radiological Sciences, Chiba (Japan)
Description
The communication reports the relationship between the ratios of copper nitrate and sodium hexacyanoferrate(II) taken, the relative sorption rates of cesium from aqueous solutions with or without the addition of hydrochloric acid, the atomic ratio of sorbed cesium to released copper and sodium, the distribution coefficients of radionuclides in concentrated salt solutions, and a simple and rapid determination of 137Cs in sea water containing 59Fe, 60Co, 65Zn, 85Sr, 95Zr, 106Ru and 144Ce.
