Nuclear data for medical radionuclide production. Radioisotopes for emission tomography

Description
Neutron deficient cyclotron-produced radionuclides play an increasing role in medicine, where they are used as radiopharmaceuticals for functional imaging with Positron Emission Tomography (PET) or Single Photon Emission Tomography (SPET). Nuclear data measurements are essential for new production routes since model calculations generally cannot predict unknown data with the required accuracy. (orig.)
