Gluon condensate and masses of c and b quarks from an analysis of the J/Ψ and Γ families

  • 1. Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Physics, Moscow (Russian Federation)

Description

It is shown that the model used by Shifman et al. to describe the experimental function Rc(s) in the form of the sum of δ functions and a plateau contradicts the Wilson operator product expansion (OPE) in terms that are due to a gluon condensate. A QCD model with an infinite number of vector mesons satisfies the requirements of the OPE for masses and electronic widths of resonances close to the experimental values. The region of allowable values of the c- and b-quark masses and the gluon condensate that are compatible with OPE is obtained. 14 refs., 3 figs., 1 tab
