Description

The presentation Construction of the Cask Type Dry Storage Facility at Atomflot by Norman Watts from Crown Agents, UK, presented information on the completed construction of the storage facility for unreprocessable SNF from nuclear powered icebreakers in North-West Russia. The SNF equal to 14 reactor cores that at that time was stored on board a service ship would be transferred into 50 metal concrete casks that would be stored inside the building pending the removal for disposal.
