Creation of excessive quasiparticles and nonequilibrium phase transition in superconductors induced by charged particles
Description
The effect of a charged particle beam of a superconductor is investigated. An expression for the source of the excessive quasiparticles in the kinetic equation is found by the Keldysh technique. The nonequilibrium state induced by the charged particles is similar to the state produced by a broad optical source. The critical beam densities at which the normal state sets in are determined. The values are in agreement with the experimental data
