Description

A single state dominance theoretical analysis of the two-neutrino double beta decay (2νββ decay) transitions has been carried out for nuclear systems with A = 110, 114, 116 and 128. The energy denominators of the perturbation theory have been considered exactly. New results for the 2νββ-decay transitions to the 0+ and 2+ excited states of the final nucleus are presented. A possibility of detecting these modes experimentally is addressed
